WELCOME TO THE FLOATHOUSE

Built With Local Red And Yellow Cedar

The Floathouse is owned by long-time resident and carpenter Matthew Pierce.  He fully renovated the building in 2006 with the extensive use of red and yellow cedar throughout.

The Floathouse has been a landmark in Queen Charlotte Harbour since the 1970s.  With the conversion of the Floathouse to guest accommodation we offer people a unique opportunity to experience life in
a working harbour.

Sea Planes Seen From The FloathouseQueen Charlotte Harbour is actively used by commercial and pleasure fishing vessels and is serviced by scheduled sea planes traveling to and from Prince Rupert on the Mainland.

The Harbour is located in Bearskin Bay on Graham Island.  It is situated in the centre of the newly incorporated Village of Queen Charlotte (formerly Queen Charlotte City) where all the conveniences are within a comfortable walking distance of 5 minutes or less.
